Sidney Himmel B.Sc. B.A. C.A.
Sidney Himmel C.A, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He has over 17 years experience in Canadian capital markets, having worked for Toronto Dominion Securities as Vice President and Director, and Merrill Lynch Canada Ltd. as a Corporate Finance specialist in mining finance. During this period he participated in the successful funding of numerous growth and large capitalization companies raising capital in both the public and private financial markets. He also has equity institutional sales and trading experience, having headed up the Preferred Share Sales desk of Toronto Dominion Securities for two years, and having been an Institutional Equity Salesperson at that investment dealer from 1992 to 2000.
Mr. Himmel practiced as a tax specialist with a Canadian national auditing firm prior to entering the investment banking industry in 1986. Mr. Himmel holds B.Sc. (Chemistry focus) and B.A. (Business and finance focus) degrees, both from the University of Toronto. He has been a Chartered Accountant since 1981. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Mr. Himmel has been an adjunct professor in corporate taxation at the business school of the University of Toronto. He has also written various publications in taxation and accounting in professional journals and the financial press, and has edited a book on the financing of private pre-IPO Canadian companies. He was won awards from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Securities Institute.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company Mr. Himmel is directly responsible for corporate strategy, business development, investor relations and finance. He also holds overall responsibility for the operations.
Thomas F. Buchholz (Technical Advisor, Senior Mining Engineer)
Thomas F. Buchholz is Technical Advisor, Senior Mining Engineer to the Company. Mr. Buchholz is an engineering professional who brings 36 years of mining experience including 14 years of mining operations management to Trigon. He began his career in 1979 with Martin-Trost Associates where, as a General Manager, he established key support systems for the oil field fabrication unit and engaged in reclamation activities at the Miracle uranium mine. Then in 1982, Mr. Buchholz joined Cotter Corporation where he served in progressively more responsible positions including Chief Mine Engineer and General Mine Manager. Since 2002, Mr. Buchholz has been President of MarGeo Inc., a project management and engineering services company, where he has successfully managed a mining operation with 200 employees.
Mr. Buchholz holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Kevin Strong, B. Comm. (Hons), CIM, CGA (Chief Financial Officer)
Mr. Strong holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree as the well as the Certified General Accountant and Canadian Investment Manager designations.
Mr. Strong is also currently the CFO of Nordic Oil and Gas Ltd., another publicly-listed resource company. From 1999 to 2007, he was the Manager of the Winnipeg Office of the TSX Venture Exchange (formerly the Canadian Venture Exchange). Prior to this, he was the Manager of Marketing and Operations at the Winnipeg Stock Exchange. He has also worked as a college instructor and accountant.
As CFO, Mr. Strong will provide a wide range of financial and regulatory advice. |
